Welcome to Ralph F. Stearley Primary School!
RSPS is a DYNAMIC SCHOOL, where teachers are dedicated and work hard to help children achieve their highest academic goals and potential. The curriculum is designed to address DoDEA content standards. There are a PSCD and a Sure Start program in the school. The school provides a normal "stateside" curriculum in addition to many special programs that include: art, music, physical education, and Japanese culture. Gifted education, Literacy Support Services (LSS), and English as a Second Language programs are also available to students in the school.
History
The building for Ralph F. Stearley Primary School was started in 1979 and completed in 1980. It opened with about 750 students in the fall of 1980. Nothing was on this spot before this time. It was all jungle. Japanese contractors built the school. It replaced the M&K School. M&K School was a KN to 6th grade school located near Kadena Air Base Gate 3. Ralph F. Stearley Primary School replaced grades KN - 3. Amelia Earhart Intermediate School replaced grades 4-6
We belong to the DoDEA Pacific South School District which is part of the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA). DoDEA is a Department of Defense field activity operating under the direction, authority, and control of the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness.
Goal: Literacy: By the end of the 2025-26 school year, 80% of Ralph Stearley Primary School students (K-2) will meet or exceed Reading Standards for Informational Text, as measured by the EOY Benchmark Advance ELA Interim 4 Assessment.Â

Goal: Math: By the end of the 2025-26 school year, 80% of Ralph Stearley Primary School students (K-2) will meet or exceed Math Standards, as measured by the Reveal Math EOY Summative Assessment.
